Act! Telesales Database for Seminar sales company
We were asked to design an Act! telesales database for a sales team selling places on international seminars. The existing system was based exclusively around MS Excel spreadsheets. Because of the complexity of the reporting required on the source data provided to them by an external marketing team it was apparent that additional programming would be required.
Act! was chosen as the core system for 25 users.
In addition to this we developed an Act! import process direct from Excel which automatically created groups and sub-groups within Act! and assigned the records depending on the associated record marketing code within the source data. The import process also took into account existing records and merged these where appropriate.
The Opportunities functionality within Act! was heavily exploited by this client in this instance and provided them with the detailed level of reporting required.
Our solution ensured that:
- Telesales staff had historical data available to assist in future sales campaigns.
- Reporting offered immediate seminar take up rates and individual telesales team member sales performance
- Reporting offered fast and accurate information on data quality provided marketing organisation.
